Academic Team - Mary Drummond

Mary is a Lecturer in Social Policy as well as an Academic Adviser and Dissertation Tutor to on-campus BA Community and Social Care: Policy and Practice and MA Social Policy students.

Mary has extensive experience of working in the Voluntary Homeless Sector and Local Authority Strategic Housing, collaborating with marginalised communities who are often less heard in the development and implementation of housing and homelessness provision.

Mary’s area of expertise is in the field of Social Policy, Housing and Homelessness alongside wider interests in social housing; urban development; poverty and welfare conditionality; social theory; and critical realism.

  • Becoming a member of the Social Policy Housing Association and the Housing Studies Association

  • Becoming an Affiliated member of the Chartered Institute of Housing
