Claire Ashworth MCIPD
Course Leader, MSc in Human Resource Management
Claire is a member of the Institute for Research into Organisations, Work, and Employment (iROWE), a Chartered Member of the CIPD, and a member of the Institute of Learning and Management (ILM).
Claire has presented at the University's annual Education, Learning, and Teaching conference – sharing interest and research into the use of improvisation theatre in developing coaching skills. Her other areas of interest include learning through play, as well as organisational behaviour and development.
Prior to joining the university in 2012, Claire worked in the HR industry, mostly within the public sector, for over 15 years. With her rich range of experience, Claire brings both a practitioner mindset to the table as well as a pedagogic focus.
In addition to being a lecturer at our School of Business, Claire is a workplace coach, mentor, and self-confessed fanatic of live theatre and learning through play. Her philosophy to life is simple: Be curious! Be bold! Be you!
